2018 Lavender Festival in the Field
Date
DATE CHANGE!!!
A note about the date change: Our Festival in the Field was originally scheduled for May 26. For the past five years, the majority of our plants have been in peak bloom my mid-to-late May. After our harsh winter with weeks of below freezing temps followed by enormous amounts of rain (which is the worst thing for lavender), our plants are having a hard time waking up for spring. Many of them are coming along, although our loss is going to be greater than in years past, but they are behind schedule. Across the nation, lavender growers are reporting two to three weeks of delay. We want to give our plants the best opportunity to show off for our visitors!
Now on to the event details:
The event will be held June 9, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Cost: $5 entry per person (children ages 7 and under are free!) Your entry fee must be paid in cash at the farm entrance. No exceptions. This fee includes admittance to the event and a bundle of fresh lavender (approximately 25 stems) that you can cut yourself straight from the field!
Additional activities: We have a fun, full day of activities planned. Come spend the day with us!
Other things to note:
Pet Policy: While we love all animals, we ask that you please not bring any pets to the farm. Thank you for your cooperation.
Bees: Bees LOVE lavender and they are super important to the production of the plants! Last year, we had A LOT of highly active bees during bloom time. Please take precautions when visiting the farm if you are allergic to bees.
Liability: You are assuming the risk when you visit The Lavender Farm at Woodstock. Under Kentucky law, there is no liability for an injury to or death of a participant in an agritourism activity conducted at this agritourism location if the injury or death results exclusively from the inherent risks of the agritourism activity and in the absence of negligence. You are assuming the risk of participating in this agritourism activity.
